Permitting

Pre-Build and Permitting Phase

• During this phase the scope of work and conceptual drawings are forwarded to the CAD department for the preparation of construction documents for permitting

 

• The CAD Department will obtain all necessary engineering and other professional input to complete the construction documents

 

• Once the docs are complete the CAD Department will apply for permits.  The permit process can take anywhere from a few hours to more than a month depending on the complexity of the project and/or the jurisdiction the project is located in

 

• During this time the client will work with the PC on selections and design details

 

• Also, during this time, the client prepares for construction to begin by moving out of the areas that remodeling will take place in. Sometimes this requires moving out of the house completely.

 

• Once the permit is obtained a Pre-Construction Meeting is scheduled on the site with the client, PC, Superintendent and VP of Production

 

• This begins the Build Process
